12th to 16th March 2026
There are 15 people flying from Edinburgh Airport on the Thursday afternoon, we still need to sort out arrangements from Troon.
Thursday flight is a 16:10 deaprture, so leaving Troon at midday for a 14:00 airport arrival.
Everyone is responsible for their own Check-in, and Boarding Passes!
Thursday flight - arrival is around 19:00 French time (+1 hour), with arrival at the hotel to be confirmed but likely 1 hour 15 mins on the bus.
To date it has taken us about 1 hour to get through Passport checks, and collect luggage at Geneva. These new entry gates should be ok on a Thursday evening but no guarantees!
This year is a little different, we have two chalets for the four nights exclusively for us.
Chalet Manava and Chalet Mitch - https://www.chaletmanava.com/en/home/
Breakfast is included each morning, and will be served in Chalet Manava (Chalet Mitch is fully self catering usually but the owner will serve us all in Chalet Manava from 07:30).
The owner of the chalets is an ESF instructor who we have used before for completing the Portes du Soleil lap https://en.portesdusoleil.com
Ski Equipment
We usually use the Intersport Skirental Télé Pleney Morzine, which is located in town just across from the Pleney lift, and the bus stop so has proved fairly straighftforward. Generally we have got dropped off at the about 08:30 on the first day, and then head from there. They do offer lockers if you prefer to leave your skis and boots in town but generally we just take the gear back tot he chalet on the bus in case we head to Avoriaz in the next day.

Ski Passes
For most folk the Morzine/Let Gets ski area will be plenty, but the full Portes du Soleil area is there if you fancy visiting Switzerland. The following website lets you top up your pass each day so you can pick. On the Friday morning, you will need to go into the Pleney ticket office and purchase the card for the day, then you can register it on the website.

Saturday night - https://restaurant-leclin.com/en/ @ 19:30
Sunday night - https://www.hotel-tremplin.com @ 19:30
Hopefully we will be out early and skiing on the Monday morning.
Pickup at the chalet probably at 14:00ish, as need to be at the ariport for around 16:00.
Geneva is generally good at getting through checkin and security, so fingers crossed by 16:30 we are having a beer awaiting the flight.
Departure is 18:05, with arrival at Edinburgh at 19:25 UK time (-1hr), then home.
And then start planning 2027!
